There are a number of cages available online and at your local reptile specialty store. You can find terrariums made of glass, screen and even tub-style-racks that conserve space and material. Rhacodactylus geckos are arboreal so a vertical cage will be more beneficial than a horizontal one. A large enough enclosure to provide ample space to move around with a great deal of hiding places and climbing branches is recommended. When selecting a cage you will want to base your decision around your climate, heating and air conditioning during the seasons and personal schedule.

All species in the Rhacodactylus genus are frugivorous. A frugivorous diet consists of ripe fruit and insects. Insects are easy to come by and with the introduction of balanced diets, the feeding of a frugivorous gecko is simple and easy.

The popularity of a species is evident through it's number of print publications. Over the course of the past ten years there have been many publications with information from the organization of the Rhacodactylus genus to the husbandry and breeding practices of the most involved breeders and hobbyists. Unfortunately at this time every book and article is out of print and will be difficult to obtain in the coming years. This is an organization of all the literature I have in my collection and based solely on opinion.
