Slender Prehensile-Tailed Gecko
The Slender Prehensile-Tailed Gecko is endemic to the southern region of New Caledonia (Grande Terre) in tropical forest and bordering scrubland. Saras' can be found at varying elevations. This species does not have similar traits commonly found with the other species of the Rhacodactylus genus. Temperament of the Sarasinorum can be quite flighty but will tame.
The Slender Prehensile-Tailed Gecko, Rhacodactylus sarasinorum, commonly referred to as "saras" is one of the least common of the genus in collections. A somewhat nervous gecko this species can make a great display animal or pet if properly handled and tamed.
